Lesson March 30, 2007

— Wednesday March 28, 2007 by Admin

We hope everyone enjoyed spring camp!

Mr. Cool will be teaching this Friday night.

We’ll be studying Luke Chapter 16 this Friday night.

This is a wonderful chapter to help us in handling money and possessions.

To get the most out of it, I want you read through this chapter a couple times, ask yourself the following questions and see if you can find the answers in this chapter:

  1. What does the word “shrewd” mean?
  2. Would you be proud if I tell you that you are very shrewd?
  3. Would you rather be shrewd or wise? Why?
  4. Is “serve” a transitive verb? With a direct object?
  5. Do we serve money or money serve us?
  6. Is it possible to serve money? Examples?
  7. Would you like to be a boss today that you can tell people what to do?
  8. Would you rather be rich or poor today?
  9. Is being rich always good? Is being poor always bad?
  10. Do you believe in heaven and hell? Why or why not?
  11. Is there a bridge between heaven and hell that you can go back and forth?
  12. Are you certain you are heading toward heaven?

For those who love challenges, I’ll offer you a special prize for memorizing the following 2 verses:

Luke 16:13 “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You can not serve both God and Money.”

Luke 16:31 “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”
