Lesson January 5, 2007

— Sunday December 31, 2006 by Admin

Happy new year to all!

From Luke 9 we read, “As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem” (9:51).

Luke tells us in chapter 10 that on His way to Jerusalem to the cross, Jesus continued to mold his disciples. There were more followers than the original 12. Jesus tells them that they will encounter opposition in this world as they go out ahead of Jesus. Jesus teaches us through parables, sermons, and most of all by His actions, principles, and attitudes. As you study this chapter, ask the God to teach us and mold us.

Verse of the Week:
He answered: ”’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” — Luke 10:27
