Lesson December 29, 2006
— Saturday December 23, 2006 by Admin
We will have open mic time for thanksgiving and sharing after the lesson. Please limit your testimonies to 3-5 minutes.
Here are some suggestions as what you want to talk about:
- How God has blessed you this year
- Family? Friends? School?
- How God has changed you this year
- How serving God has changed you
- How reading the bible has blessed you
- Any experiences that you might have had that are Christ-centered
You may go up with a friend. However, once you are at the mic, please remember the ABCs of sharing: Audible, Brief, and Christ-centered.
We will also be having a message, as usual.
Luke 9 has several sections:
- Ministry of the Twelve Disciples
- Five Thousand Fed
- The Transfiguration
- The Test of Greatness
- Exacting Discipleship
In several passages of Luke 9, Jesus seeks us in order to teach us what it means to be a disciple of Christ. This is especially relevant to FNF as many of us are at the beginning of our spiritual journey. In addition to providing for our physical needs, Jesus penetrates our thoughts and desires to reveal what it takes to be a follower of Christ. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to us and touch us with His message.
Memorize:
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” — Luke 19:10
“And He was saying to them all, ‘If anyone wishes to come after
Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.’” — Luke 9:23
