This Friday we will continue with Luke 3. Please pray for understanding and read it this week several times. Chapter 3 starts out with the preaching of repentance for the forgiveness of sins by John the Baptist. Repentance is an essential step in receiving Jesus by faith, and is an ongoing process as we become more like Jesus. The second main point is about baptism, particularly the baptism of Jesus. The chapter closes with a genealogy of Jesus, emphasizing that Jesus is the Son of God, as well as man.
