Please read and reflect on Luke 2 for this week. This passage details the birth of Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah. The time had come for God to fulfill the promises He had made in the Old Testament. We read how angels tell shepherds that Christ the Lord has been born. God worked through Simeon and Anna, revealing to them that Jesus is “a light of salvation to the Gentiles” and “the redemption of Jerusalem.” Particularly applicable to the FNF is the last part of Chapter 2, where the Bible tells us about Jesus at the age of 12 years old. What was important to Jesus at that age? What about the life of Jesus can you apply to your own life?
